Website accessibility checker: find barriers before your visitors do.

An accessible website works for everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboards or zoom. WebCheck runs automated accessibility checks on your page and explains each issue without jargon.

What the accessibility checker tests

The checks come from Lighthouse and the axe-core engine, based on WCAG success criteria:

  • Color contrast between text and background.
  • Text alternatives for informative images.
  • Labels for form fields, buttons and links.
  • Correct use of ARIA attributes and roles.
  • Page language, heading order and document title.
  • Touch target size and zoom on mobile.

What automated testing cannot check

Automated tools catch a meaningful share of common issues, but not all of them. They cannot judge whether alternative text is accurate, whether the keyboard order makes sense or whether content is understandable. A good automated score does not mean the site is fully compliant with WCAG, the ADA in the United States or the European Accessibility Act.

Use WebCheck to fix the frequent, objective problems quickly, then complete with a manual review with a keyboard and a screen reader.

Why accessibility matters for your clients

  • More people can use the site and buy from it.
  • Many accessibility fixes also improve SEO (headings, link text, alt text).
  • Accessibility requirements are growing, including the European Accessibility Act, in force since June 2025 for many products and services sold in the EU.

Frequently asked questions

Does a 100 accessibility score mean my site is compliant?

No. It means no automated check failed. Compliance with WCAG or local laws also requires manual testing and sometimes an expert audit.

Which WCAG level does the checker cover?

The automated checks map mostly to WCAG 2 levels A and AA criteria that can be tested by a machine.

Can I share accessibility results with a client?

Yes. The client view explains each issue in plain language and the PDF export can carry your agency logo.
